Cumbria Wildlife Trust describes a project to protect and restore peatlands in the Lake District. Working with other landowners and farmers the Trust uses excavators to repair and reprofile areas of eroding peat to improve the retention of water and encourage the re-development of wetland habitats.
Includes timelapse footage of work progressing at Forest Hall Farm in the English Lake District.
