a colossal one-hand arrangement of a watatsumi island theme

the original piece was quite minimal in terms of harmony, really only alternating between some chords --- these minimalities were made into chromatic and textural variations, with the left hand alone playing a study in double notes up and down the keyboard, but the structure of this arrangement is same as that of the original piece.

that being said, the similarities with the original (and most other piano arrangements of this) end here. first of all, this is left hand only, and it is transposed into f-sharp major to "dampen" the timbre a slight bit (at least in my opinion). the general contour to this arrangement is completely changed: the original stayed relatively peaceful, only with some more instrumentation being added on in the middle, and then fading out. what i present here, however, is a buildup from pianissimo to a massive fortissimo at the end, as the traveler witnesses the grandeur of watatsumi island's illuminated coral palace.
