Madrone's fiddle practice today: We have five out of six required songs picked out in case he decides he wants compete in the Adult division of the Western Open Fiddle & Picking Championships in October. Songs in order are: Buffalo Gals, Margaret's Waltz, Star of the County Down, Bury Me Beneath the Willow, and Arkansas Traveler. His sixth song will be Gypsy Waltz (we think) but it's a pretty intricate and difficult piece to learn so that is still TBD. We picked up a size for me at Goodwill today. It seems to be a pretty good shape and it fits well. Now I just have to figure out how to play guitar so I can be his back up guitarist (haha).
