How to Find the Median of a Data Set | Statistics

Описание к видео How to Find the Median of a Data Set | Statistics

Do you want to know how to find the median of a data set? That is the subject of today's stats math lesson! The median of a data set is the value separating the lower half of data from the upper half of data.

To find the median of a data set, we list the data points from least to greatest (or greatest to least), and then find the middle value in the list (the one with an equal number of data points on either side of it). The middle value is the median. If there is an even number of data points then there will be two middle values. In this case, the median is generally computed as the average of those two middle values, which is found by adding them and dividing by two (this is the mean of the two values, which is halfway between them).
