'Nyokum Yullow' of the 19th Nyapin Assembly Constituency was celebrated amidst the green Himalayan mountains, in the month of February 2022 , and was participated hugely by the people of & around Nyapin, Nyobia, Sangram and Phassang administrative circles.

The celebration included Sports competitions, Cultural competitions, 'Miss Nyokum' Fashion Contest and various other events & performances by popular Artists, centered around the main 'Yullow' rituals.

Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri Pema Khandu attended the celebration as the Chief Guest along with a host of dignitaries like Shri Tapir Gao, Shri Bamang Felix, Shri Purpha Tsering, Shri Laisham Simai.

The rituals were led by 'Nyubh - Tadar Rangkey' of Yuba village, who was the annointed Chief Shaman of this Year's Nyokum Yullow.

Nyokum Yullow is a ritualistic celebration centred around the concept of 'land-worship', for a better harvest and overall well being of the people living, practiced by the larger group of Nyishi tribals of Arunachal Pradesh.
