Cinderella Carriage

Houston based non-profit, Snowdrop Foundation, has been busy getting their life-sized Cinderella carriage ready to host photo shoots for children battling cancer.

Snowdrop Foundation supporter Rickey Felts surprised the organization by donating his current carpentry project, a full-sized princess carriage.

“When I first saw it, I couldn’t stop smiling,” said Trish Kline, Executive Director of Snowdrop Foundation. “I Just stood there in awe and thought he really made a life-sized carriage. It was amazing.”

After Felts delivered the carriage, Bayou City Artisans-Houston IDAL Chapter brought the carriage to life.

Cindy Howard & Dana DeBuck, owners at Decorative & Faux Finishes, came up with the “Dreams Come True” plan, a design where any fairy tale-loving child can see, touch and sit in the carriage creating their own magical story.

The painting is expected to be finished on Sunday, January 19, but Kline says there is more work beyond that to complete the carriage. “We need donors to help with upholstery and flooring for the inside. We also need a 6’ by 15’ trailer for transportation.”
