Royston Runners Harvest Trail half marathon in the rain

Come with me to North Hertfordshire, as I tackle a 13.5 mile (22 km) trail run through the countryside around Royston, Therfield, Kelshall and Hay Green.

Organised by my local club, Royston Runners, this trail run is all about celebrating the post-harvest countryside - complete with a surprising amount of mud, hills, puddles rabbit holes, tree roots, etc! :-)

And along the way we’ll find out interesting stuff - plenty of nature, a 14th century monument found in a pond, and the fact that Royston is on the intersection of two of the four 'Royal Roads of England', as defined by Henry of Huntingdon in the 1100s!

I’m a middle-aged, UK trail runner who enjoys the countryside – why not come along with me as I explore new places and find out interesting stuff about them?
