9 Fun Things To Do In Short Pump Virginia | Living In Short Pump Va

One of the benefits to living in Short Pump Virginia is all of the amazing nearby amenities. Short Pump Va is absolutely one of our favorite places to live near Richmond and in this video we will show you 9 fun things to do in Short Pump Va.

1) Visit the Short Pump Town Center. This is a beautiful, large, open air outdoor mall with some of the best shopping to be had in Richmond. The mall also has tons of great restaurants including the Boathouse, Texas De Brazil, Firebirds and lots of others. Draftcade just opened and it features a bunch of retro arcade games to play, and there is a full service bar with food offerings.

2) Visit West Broad Village. West Broad Village is a master planned mixed use development with a ton of attractions. ACAC is a super nice 4 story gym with a wonderful kids club, workout equipment, indoor pools, classrooms, and on the rooftop there is an outdoor pool and hot tub with a café and bar. Burger Bach, Bone fish Grill, Bar-ti-zan, Chuys, and Carrabas are just some of the restaurants located here. Dave and busters is another fun entertainment option within West Broad Village.

3) Go to one of the nearby parks within short pump. At the twin hickory park there are walking trails, open play areas, a large multi purpose field, a large picnic shelter, a spray park, and playgrounds. Short Pump park which has walking trails to the back, a large playground and a splash pad and this park isn’t just for kids. There is a dog park behind the playground and picnic areas. Deep Run is great too!

4) If you enjoy beer and a beautiful setting to drink it in, you will want to visit Hardywood West Creek. We go here all the time and it is a lot of fun, and very pet and kid friendly. Hardywood has an extensive list of beers so no matter your preferred type they will probably have a few options for you to try.

5) Do a wine tasting at Coopers Hawk. Coopers Hawk winery is a restaurant and wine club, and the front of the facility is dedicated to wine tasting and sales. Their food is excellent, and the outdoor seating area is very pretty so this is a must visit place in Short Pump.

6) Go out to eat. In addition to all the restaurants mentioned earlier, there are still so many more amazing restaurants located within Short Pump. There is Red Salt which is a premium Japanese steakhouse and sushi restaurant, mellow mushroom has incredible pizza, and the daily has some great organic food options. Portico is another one of our favorites. Gelati celesti which has, hands down, the best ice cream in all of Richmond.

7) Go to either Drive Shack or the Patterson Golf Park. The Patterson Golf Park is a family friendly mini putt putt course and a driving range. Drive shack is a bit more exciting but probably not as friendly if you have very young children.

8) Go see a concert at Innsbrook After Hours. During the summer they have lots of concerts on the lawn. We have been to a few concerts at innsbrook after hours and we had a blast at all of them.

9) Our 9th fun thing to do is a bit more basic and that is to go see a movie at short pump regal cinemas. The theater itself is pretty nice, but overall we like Cinebistro better because it is a nicer theater and a one stop shop for dinner, drinks, and a movie. But sometimes we want to avoid the drive so we go to Short Pump Regal Cinemas.
