Teaching in the Online Environment - August, 2024

Описание к видео Teaching in the Online Environment - August, 2024

This updated webinar orients faculty to the new processes for accessing courses in the UWISTA's myeLearning (MOODLE) platform and Zoom for online instruction and learning activities, as well as instructional strategies and technologies that can be used in remote, online or blended teaching and learning. More than just an explanation of the aforementioned, this webinar takes a more immersive, hands-on approach, demonstrating various instructional strategies and ICTs to participants who are then given opportunities to practice doing the same. Along the way, participants become quite familiar with instructional strategies (e.g. webquest, collaborative, flipped and experiential approaches) and ICTs such as Padlet, and Poll Everywhere, and features in Zoom such as avatars, polls, breakout rooms, sharing content and annotations, which can all be used to make their online/blended teaching more engaging, and thereby improve the learning experience for their students. This session also touches on the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI), and instructional design frameworks such as Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and Differentiated Instruction (DI) in a more contemporary technology-mediated teaching and learning context.
