Next up, we have the story mode route for Team Dark, who consists of Shadow the Hedgehog, Rouge the Bat, and E-123 Omega (who makes his debut in this game). Team Dark is considered the Hard Mode of this game, as though for the most part they go through the same stage length as Team Sonic, their levels are a lot more tougher to go through. Lot more enemy encounters, fewer checkpoints, the rare occasion of taking a different path, and even more obstacles that'll take a lot more effort to get through compared to the other teams' story routes. As for their Team Blast, along with wiping out all the enemies, this attack will also trigger Chaos Control, which will freeze time in the level until the meter runs out. It can be very useful for getting a higher time bonus, as level timer will also be frozen. However, it's not as useful if you use it in an area where you can't progress with freezing time, like unlocking a door or triggering the poles. Luckily, you can just press the corresponding button for Team Blast to immediately cancel out the effect.

As for their story, Rouge ends up breaking into one of Dr. Eggman's bases in the search for his secret treasure. However, she ends up discovering Shadow, who somehow survived after his apparent death at the end of Sonic Adventure 2, as well as Omega, the latest E-Series robot created by Eggman. But after a brief encounter, the three would team up to go after Eggman together for their own reasons: Rouge to find Eggman's Treasure. Omega, to destroy the Doctor and any and all of his creations. And for Shadow, to recover his memories, as he doesn't remember anything about his past or the events of SA2.

Only difference between this and the last video regarding the settings in Dolphin was swapping the graphical backend from Vulkan to Direct3D 12. Performance seems to run a bit more smoothly, with any technical hiccups being much more rare to come up.
