Now this place was an Interesting cause. Usually when I make a bad review for a hotel, it's the result of maintenance. This place on the other hands' issue was it's layout and design!!!! No storage ANYWHERE, Cheap feeling furniture and fixtures, a sink so shallow even with the water on a little it splashes everywhere, Only 2 UNRELIABLE, SLOW Elevators to serve all floors of the hotel, no service elevators!!!! One time, we waited 15 MINUTES for an elevator!!!! Also, the public areas smelled like FARTS AND ROTTEN EGGS!!! Also, the food here wasn't that good and overall, just not the greatest hotel, a shame considering it's a Marriott and it was Brand New when I stayed. (Opened in August 2017, I stayed in September) The positives were really just The comfy beds, beautiful lounge on the rooftop, and the staff, and the fact the room was mostly clean. I know I'm kind of nitpicking, but still, come on! Really the issue with this place was CLEARLY THE ARCHITECT!!!!! With that all said, if you come to Asheville, DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! Our hope wasn't to stay here, but due to money reasons being Asheville is expensive and the fact everything else in Downtown was booked, this is where we stayed.... With that being said, enjoy!!!
