We go behind-the-scenes with Alvy Cado as he talks about the crazy mayhem that occurred during the making of "Children of the Living Dead." The film started out as a direct sequel to John A. Russo's 30th Anniversary re-edit of "Night of the Living Dead." After spending a few months shopping around the project to potential investors, he found one in Joe Wolf, one of the producers of "A Nightmare on Elm Street" and "Halloween II and III" fronted him $500,000 for the project but it came with strings attached, he had to use his daughter Karen Lee Wolf as a producer and screenwriter. In order to save money, Russo hired a young filmmaker named Tor Ramsey who was fresh out of film school with a feature film under his belt.

Ramsey and Wolf didn't get along and according to the director she made his life a living hell on the set. Not wanting to lose the chance to make his second film, Ramsey went long to the whimsical changes and budget cutting that Wolf insisted along with employing her family and friends. Another bur in Tor's side was that he wasn't allowed to change the script and had to shoot it as it was written. But the director went and shot the film as he felt it would work and presented the other producers a final cut but it was drastically re-edited to fit in with Karen Lee Wolf's original vision. Due to the re-looping of the actors voices and the inclusions of outtakes to provide some sense of continuity, the film became an unwatchable mess.

We welcome the second season of "Drama Behind the Drama" with a new host Alvy Cado who will continue to document all of the behind-the-scenes drama in the making of these dustbin movies.

Special thanks to the website homepageofthedead which posted the original e-mail that director Tor Ramsey wrote which documented all of the chaos behind the camera and the interview with John A, Russo with the website horrornetnews which was conducted by Dave Gammon.
