P1646 code Jaguar X-type oxygen sensor replacement

In this video I show you how to replace a Jaguar X type bank 1 upstream O2 sensor in case you get a P1646 fault code. As usual I repair my Jag with a minimal set of tools, just a 22 mm wrench in this case.

I explain to you which bank is bank 1 and bank 2. And here is the promised number of an upstream wideband sensor of Jaguar X-type: 1X43 9F472AA/AD DENSO 3110/3111. AA was installed on my car OEM, but I bought a pre-used AD modification from another 2.1 X-type, installed it and it is working properly. By the way, downstream Jaguar X-type sensors (black plug) are not interchangeable with upstream sensors (grey plug), because they are just switching between rich and lean and don't measure precisely the amount oxygen in the exhaust gas.

After Jaguar X-type oxygen sensor replacement was completed, I had just to clear the p1646 code with a scanner and enjoy driving my Jag.
