Leyland introduced 1920hu platform truck with inbuilt cabin specially dedicated to timber application.It is built on AVTR platform.Compared to non avtr series this timber truck has higher payload capacity.This dedicated timber truck is thus fitted with a powerful engine, differential,chassis etc.
The chassis frame size is increased by 2inches from 9inch to 11inch thus providing a higher load bearing capacity.Ashok leyland Igen6 h6 engine produces 200hp @2400rpm and 700nm torque @ 1200-1900rpm.This high engine output is delivered to the wheels by an e10 transmission.This heavy duty gear box has higher gear ratio and torque.This vehicle is way more powerful than tata's 1918c timber application truck.
