Known for his work as a jazz bassist at the cutting edge of improvised music, but also as a singer and a prolific composer, Avishai Cohen is an internationally acclaimed musician. His recorded works have redefined the role of the jazz trio for a generation with world-renowned albums such as his 2008 masterpiece 'Gently Disturbed' and with compositions such as the wildly popular 'Remembering'.

The Avishai Cohen Masterclass is an in-depth discussion focused on his personal approach to double bass playing. We unpack his signature sounds, double bass technique, composition and improvisation. Hosted by DDB founder Geoff Chalmers, the Masterclass provides a unique insight into the musical world of a legendary artist. It comprises 2.5 hours of videos and detailed transcriptions of Avishai Cohen's musical examples.
