Demonstrating Quantum Effects At Home: The Stern-Gerlach-Experiment Pt. 1: Rebuilding the cryopump

I always wanted to recreate the Stern-Gerlach-Experiment. This experiment demonstrated that the spatial orientation of angular momentum is quantized. My explanation in the video is probably not the best, but there are many other videos online explaining it in detail. This experiment was always out of my reach because I did not have the necessary vacuum pump. This changed when I got the cryopump. In this video I will first explain what the plan for this project is, and then I will build a stand for the cryopump and reassemble the pump.
