Cradle dismount instructional video - cheerleading group stunts

Описание к видео Cradle dismount instructional video - cheerleading group stunts

Cradle dismount is the most basic dismount used in cheerleading.

We start in a prep position.

Then, bases and a backspot get into a stable position and dip low with your legs. Be careful that your arms are not moving and that your back is straight. Always look up, to your flyer’s hips, so you know what is going on with the flyer.

Do not lean forward while dipping or even worse, do not let your elbows move. Arms should stay in the prep position (on the chest level) until tossing.

Flyers, keep your legs extended for the whole time. There should not be a moment for you to bend the legs. Lock your hips and flex your glutes to make sure your feet are levelled through the tossing part.

After the dip, bases and a backspot should extend the arms and the legs at the same moment. Creating a good height for the flyer is very important. After extending the arms, you should keep the arms up in the air and wait for the flyer to land in a cradle.

Flyer, after the release you need to get your feet together as fast as you can, pull the chest up and get your arms next to your body.

Keep your body straight for the whole time, you should not “sit” or arch. Also, keep squeezing your abs and bottom for the whole time to prevent a hard or uncontrolled catching.

Finish in a nice cradle.

Happy stunting!
