This story is rich in descriptive vocabulary. We see how music and words come
together to express something shy, calm, loud, boisterous and more!

This book is based on a musical composition by Camille Saint-Saëns. His
composition had 14 parts with musical instruments expressing various animals. This
book describes the humourous music piece. The lion is king and has common sense
while the donkeys are wild and have no manners. The tortoise is calm and never rushes
anywhere while the elephants make the ground tremble. The kangaroo even hops in its
dreams while the swan is poised and graceful. At the finale, all animals take a bow as
the curtain closes.
