BLACKFIN Model V Review (2019 Inflatable Touring SUP)

▶ https://www.inflatableboarder.com/gea... — In this review of the 2019 BLACKFIN Model V inflatable touring SUP, we'll take an in-depth look at this brand new board's features, construction, paddling performance, included accessories, who it's best for, and more.

The BLACKFIN Model V is a fast touring iSUP board that offers good overall stability and excellent tracking performance. This SUP measures 12'6" x 32" x 6" and it weighs in at 27 pounds thanks to iROCKER's new lightweight triple layer composite PVC construction.

A board that is perfect for exploring and paddling longer distances, the Model V can handle overnight SUP excursions, paddling with small children or pets, and much more.

The top of the Model V features a premium grade EVA foam traction pad that is stamped with the BLACKFIN SUP logo. This is an extremely comfortable deck pad and doesn't cause any discomfort to your hands, feet, or knees like some other pads.

Mid-board is a neoprene covered carry handle and there are 6 D-rings located along the rails of the board for tying down gear or attaching iROCKER's optional kayak seat kit or shoulder carrying strap.

Located at the nose of the board are 6 additional D-rings along with a large bungee cord storage area for stashing your dry bags, backpack, camping gear, and more. There are also two comfortable safety grab handles for children incorporated into the bungee cargo area and they are removable for 2019.

The nose of the Model V also features another grab handle and a new Action Mount for securing a GoPro camera, fishing rod, phone, waterproof Bluetooth speaker, etc.

At the board's tail is a second bungee storage area with kiddie grab handles. There's another grab handle at the tail for pulling the SUP in and out of the water as well as a Halkey-Roberts inflation valve and a D-ring for securing the SUP leash.

The underside of the board is entirely blue which hides dirt and wear much better than white and there's a D-ring at the nose for towing and tethering. Finally, at the tail of the board are three removable fins.

Included with the BLACKFIN Model V is an extremely high-quality SUP accessory bundle. In the box is a wheeled SUP backpack, 3-piece carbon fiber shaft paddle, coiled leash, Full Throttle Pump, repair kit, user guide, and BLACKFIN sticker pack.
