Geopotential and Geopotential Height

Geopotential and geopotential height are defined in terms of potential energy and work. Geopotential of the Earth and the variation of the gravitational acceleration with respect to the height, latitude and longitude are also discussed. The difference between geopotential meter and geometric meter is explained.
