'Song For Tanners Hatch' by Steve Poole

Tanners Hatch is a tiny 500 year old cottage run as a Youth Hostel near Dorking in Surrey, England, in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Until the Covid hit it was a place where wonderful regular music sessions took place well into the early hours - proper Acoustic music from the Wood! These sessions have been going on since the 1960s and we hope they can restart soon and we can do what we do because it's what we do! No one gets paid but anyone can play, but don't expect too much sleep if you're in the bunks upstairs on a music night!
I wrote and recorded Song For Tanners Hatch for the retirement in 1998 of the warden Graham Peddie, a man to whom we owe much!
