Are we Alone? How can we find out? We discuss the Drake Equation, or as Frank Drake himself calls it "the equation to estimate the number of communicative civilizations in our galaxy." We journey down the terms and discuss each- what we know, what we don't know, what we are doing to learn more... (in the early 1990s, I was was privileged to be the Teaching Assistant for Frank Drake when he taught his class "Life in the Universe" at UCSC. We have learned a great deal since then! - I hope I present this in a way that would make him proud). Thank you Frank for your vision and for SETI.
