New VH-92 helicopter for President Biden in New York | Boats, security vehicles and V-22 Ospreys

A new military helicopter used as Marine One flew President Joe Biden to New York ahead of the 9/11 Memorial Service. Multiple aircraft, boats armed with mounted guns, and hundreds of emergency personnel & vehicles helped to secure the Downtown Manhattan Heliport.

The new Sikorsky VH-92A Patriot recently went into service with the US Marine Corps as the anticipated replacement for the ageing VH-3D Sea King and VH-60 White Hawk used by US Presidents for several decades. Marine Corps aircraft only assume the call-sign 'Marine One' when the Commander in Chief is on-board.

Marine Helicopter Squadron One (HMX-1) are responsible for operating the presidential fleet of helicopters that are also used by the Vice President and other VIPs. The squadron also operate the MV-22 Osprey, of which several are seen in this video transporting security, staff and press. These typically operate under the call-sign 'Night Hawk'.

President Joe Biden will attend the 9/11 Memorial Service along with Vice President Kamala Harris, who arrived separately after the Presidential Debate in Philadelphia.
