Hold onto to your winged boots it’s Talisman Revised 4th Edition expansion 'The Highland'. What wondrous trinkets or foul adversaries will you find?

Fancy a fresh challenge for your Talisman game? The Highland expansion maybe the challenge you’re looking for. Dare you enter the rocky Highlands and brave the increasing dangers? Can you defeat the powerful Eagle King who sits in all his majesty in his Eyrie?

Legend has it that the Eagle King is a powerful spirit of nature and friend to birds and beasts who has sworn to protect the magic that pours into the world of Talisman and keep it pure. Beware if you venture so high through the Highlands and reach his lair known as the Eyrie, for his Strength and Craft are mighty. But if you do defeat this proud warrior you will be rewarded with a fabled Relic that will grant a tremendous benefit to its new master.

Want more characters to play with? The Highland comes with six new themed heroes: Highlander, Sprite, Valkyrie, Rogue, Vampiress, and the Alchemist. Each has their own Special Abilities to help them traverse the land of Talisman. Which one will you want to be?

This expansion also introduces the concept of trinkets to Talisman. A trinket is a special kind of Object but doesn’t count to your carry capacity. This means you don’t have to count them towards how much you are carrying and can carry as many of them as you like. Nice! Some trinkets such as the ‘Diamond’ trinkets can be taken to the Alchemist at the City space to be turned into 4 pieces of gold. Really nice!

This expansion adds a new corner piece Region board, 142 Highland Cards, 10 Spell cards, 12 Adventure Cards, 4 Relic Cards, 3 Alternative Ending Cards, and 6 new character cards with matching detailed plastic miniatures for you to paint. That’s a lot of components for your money!

Please note: You will need Talisman Revised 4th Edition from Fantasy Flight Games to play The Highland Expansion.
