We did the Picket Post Loop Trail in mid-December. This Loop is a little over 8.7 miles and exposes you to all the flavors of Arizona. We started out in the rugged Arizona desert but as we continued around Picket Post Mountain, the terrain and geography changes. As we got around the far side we were in a lush canyon with lots of vegetation. The cotton woods were rampant with the fall foliage. Then to throw a cherry on top, Palm Trees. All we can say is WOW.
