Cheap, easy, fast, but convenient!
There are dozens of YouTube videos on this topic, but still I'm going to try to bore you with my approach. After all, it is a very handy extension that makes working with the tailstock a pleasure, and this small project costs little money (about $10), little time (1.5 hours) and it's an easy job.
A digital readout for the tailstock of my Proxxon PD 400 lathe, without the need for any modification to the machine itself.
