Ste finds James at the law firm and tries to make things right with him, but James is hurt that Ste said he was like Mac and is cold towards Ste. Later, James returns home and tells Ste he's wrong, he's not like Mac, and that he loves deeply, and loves Ste, but doesn't know how to make things right. They make up, and later join Sally, Scott, Nadira and Peri in the village, where James apologises to Peri for his behaviour. They then head to the McQueens to celebrate Scott getting a part he auditioned for.
