2011 3 5 FWD Ford Edge coolant drain and fill with thermostat replacement

Описание к видео 2011 3 5 FWD Ford Edge coolant drain and fill with thermostat replacement

Detailed video on how to drain your coolant/antifreeze, then remove and install a new thermostat on the 2011 Ford Edge 3.5 and 3.7 duratec engine. The choice of coolant is the Peak 50/50 extended life antifreeze/coolant. In order to preserve your water pump and help prevent failure I recommend a more aggressive and frequent change of the coolant/antifreeze. Changing it about every two years and no more than 60K miles has worked for me and I have had no water pump failures. Frequent oil changes may also play a factor into the theory.

The thermostat was changed not do to failure, but mileage and as a preventative measure.

Carquest part # 14138 for the thermostat
