"The Good Bean" Rolling Ball Sculpture

From www.tomharold.com comes The Good Bean, a rolling ball sculpture by artist Tom Harold. It measures 12" x 15" x 11 3/4" and is made entirely of welded stainless steel. This piece is sized suitably for an office desktop or side table. The Good Bean was created as a prize in a benefit for the National Kidney Foundation. The frame was specifically created to reflect the shape of a kidney, part of the NKF's log. The red marble was also chosen to continue the theme. This piece features a very large spiral requiring ten feet of steel to create. Another fun and fascinating feature is the widening track drop-through that fools the viewer into thinking the marble will fall right off the track instead of continuing on its journey. It is certain to provide a lifetime of enjoyment while providing a reminder of the message of good kidney health promoted by the National Kidney Foundation.
