GTMedia FTA Satellite Receiver 'Out of Range' Message

GT Media V7S FTA Satellite Receiver Out of Range Message Fix
Some Free Satellite TV receivers will give an ‘Out of Range’ message when you are setting up a transponder. Basically this message tells you that the transponder frequency is not within range of the LNB type setup in your receiver. Setting the LNB frequency correctly before adding in a transponder will help avoid this problem. The transponder frequency must be within the range of the satellite band that the LNB is set to (see information directly below):

C-Band Satellite:
Standard LNB: 5150 MHz
OCS (One Cable Solution) LNB: 5150-5750 MHz
Transponder Frequency Range: 3800-4200 MHz

Ku Band Satellite:
Standard KU Band LNB: 10750 MHz
Universal KU Band LNB: 9750-10600 MHz
Transponder Frequency Range: 10700-12750 MHz

LNB Frequency setup in your Free Satellite TV Receiver is VERY IMPORTANT!
Setting the LNB frequency correctly allows your receiver to calculate where to find the channels your satellite dish picks up. If it's not set correctly, you won't receive any channels.

Standard KU Band LNB- 10750 MHz

Other LNB types and their frequency settings:
Universal KU Band LNB- 9750-10600 MHz
C-Band LNB- 5150 MHZ
C-Band One Cable Solution (OCS) LNB- 5150-5750 MHz
