You've Got A Friend - Carole King / James Taylor Cover by Gus Glynn (Irish Singer Songwriter)

You've Got A Friend was, of course, originally written by Carole King and gifted to her friend, James Taylor, who wrote the iconic and instantly recognisable guitar part. Taylor has played slightly different versions over the years, with some really interesting passing chords and variations with the main melody always intact. I include this song in the solo show , Routes to Classics (which traces the development of the music we know today from it's roots in folk and blues) always to a very warm reception. A perennial favourite, I hope I do it justice? Comments welcome, do your worst :)
