Did you know that your skin can undergo some really unwanted changes during menopause? This makes sense considering that there is a sudden drop in estrogen levels at menopause and skin all over the body has estrogen receptors. While some women develop pigmentation, others may see a sudden increase in fine lines, or experience easy bruising, extremely dry skin, and even facial hair and acne! I know, it sounds kinda insane to have acne at that age.
While living a healthy lifestyle can help slow these changes down, menopause can change the way you look.
So far, I have been nudging you about how deep the roots of menopause run. But come on ladies, at the risk of sounding superficial, what we see in the mirror matters! Observing the changes in your skin and hair can add just one more layer to mental health during menopause. So, over the next few weeks, we are going to go skin-deep with facts and experts who will share some actionable hair and skin tips.
