Are you sure you want to suffer the tortures of the memories of a lost love? Do you know the tortures of the memories of a lost love?
It's awful! It will haunt you night and day! You'll wake up at night screaming! You can't eat! You can't sleep! You'll want to smash things! You'll hate yourself and the world and everybody in it! Awwwwww! Are you sure you want to risk losing me?"

SYNOPSIS

It's Valentine's Day again and Charlie Brown dreams the seemingly hopeless dream to receive a valentine from anyone. Linus buys a heart-shaped box of candy for his teacher, Miss Othmar, but she leaves with her boyfriend and never gets the box although Sally, who has a huge crush on Linus thinks the candy is hers.
Then there's Lucy, who tries to get Schroeder to notice her, a repetitive theme throughout the comic strip but ends up destroying his piano in frustration.
In school where Charlie Brown's class has a valentine's box; all the valentines are distributed. But poor Charlie Brown, the eternal optimist, he never receives any.

THIS SOUNDTRACK

Introducing a newly created, complete soundtrack (version 2) from a brand new source. This version is a higher quality than any previous versions.
Track "04. Erasers" has been cleaned up;
Track "20. There's Been a Change" has been replaced with the TV version and now correctly plays the guitar solo at the end.
The "Master" Vince Guaraldi and his Sextet are at their best with this classic melancholy soundtrack. What's different about this score is rather than using the standard piano,
Vince performs his sonic magic on a Hammond organ.

The soundtrack is highlighted by different variations of "The Heartburn Waltz" (the "Be My Valentine" title track). While this engaging theme is heard no less than eight times during the course of the Peanuts TV special, they are never quite the same way twice.
Guaraldi vamped and noodled through numerous arrangements utilizing Hammond B3 variations, even though he actually recorded more versions than ultimately were actually used in the show. Only two have been previously released!

In addition to the above, you'll also find other jazzy tunes such as "Never Again", "There's Been a Change" and "Charlie Brown's Wake-Up", which strangely enough have a distinct
similarity to "Heartburn Waltz"!

So for the real Guaraldi fans, this is an absolute "must" to add to your collection for Valentine's Day or any other day.
Enjoy.
