NS 8091 West by the Old Genoa Depot on 2-9-2014

A Norfolk Southern ES44AC leads an M337 type train and runs past the old depot in Genoa, Illinois while kicking up the powdery snow. If the proposed Amtrak service is ever restarted along the line, this might be the area for passenger boarding in Genoa.

This train was getting close when I decided to capture it here. I've never shot at this location and the best spot was a walk through the snow to the west side of the depot. The lightweight GoPro camera was the obvious choice.

I will probably produce more of these "ultra-wide" view videos in addition to my three camera videos since I now have two identical GoPro cameras. Using them to shoot from locations and situations where the three normal HD cameras don't make sense. For instance in confined shooting areas or where the cameras have a good chance of being hit by debris. Or if a hike to an interesting location would be a chore with three full sized cameras on tripods.

I'm interested in your opinions and suggestions.
