Jaya Ram (odissi) Premiere - 21 Sept 2022

Dear Friends,

Sutra Foundation in association with ArtFAS of Yayasan Hasanah presented the world premiere of Jaya Ram, on 21 September, 2021 at KL Performing Arts Centre (KLPAC).

It was a triumphant premiere performed to a full house of appreciative audience who spent an enthralling evening of Odissi.

It was an evening to remember - a successful collaboration of Malaysia-India cultural powerhouses in Odissi.
Jaya Ram was well conceived in its artistic direction and choreography. It showcased superb dancing by the principal dancers of Sutra Foundation. The compelling music of musicians of Odisha accompaning this grand production was unforgettable.
Ultimately, Jaya Ram was given the inimitable and breathtaking lighting design by Sivarajah Natarajan.

All of these and more, made Jaya Ram premiere, a major happening to celebrate 65 years of Malaysia-India diplomatic relations.
