Fully Generative Animation Production

In this video I explore how rapidly generative video is advancing with realistic and rendered art styles, and by comparison, how much more slowly it's moving with 2D art styles. I believe that we will see fully or mostly generative animation production in the near future, and storytellers and animators will (mostly) be happy about that- but we're not there yet.

Think 2D was killed by 3D? Cuphead (among other amazing projects proved otherwise with its hand-keyed animation brilliance.

Worry about AI stealing jobs? Well, cheap overseas labor hasn’t wiped out all opportunities here in the West, either. Challenges will come, but the opportunities will always be there for those who keep going.

I will get back to my rigging discussions in my next video. But for now, please hear me out about generative cartoons. 2025 and beyond gon' be wild.
