Filler Associated Blindness - Review Of Literature & No Vision Protocol - Steven F. Weiner MD

Описание к видео Filler Associated Blindness - Review Of Literature & No Vision Protocol - Steven F. Weiner MD

Filler associated blindness is a devastating complication of filler injections. It is increasing in frequency and there are estimates that this is occurring 2-3 times per day worldwide. In this video, Dr. Weiner goes over several articles about its frequency, cause, prevention, and proposed treatments. Unfortunately, there is no definitive treatment for this complication. Retrobulbar hyaluronidase is the generally accepted treatment, but Dr. Weiner brings up some problems with this treatment. An alternative protocol is suggested, The No Vision Protocol. There is no evidence that this new protocol is effective, but it is something to consider if there is no improvements in vision, or the provider is not comfortable performing the retrobulbar injections.
