Today we bring you two stories of successful race pacing and lessons from both. Propper pacing is so powerful that thinking you’ll attend to it once you’re in better shape or after a few more races where you gut it out is just… well giving away time on the clock in your races.

Two main benefits of going out SLOW enough to achieve even or near even pacing:

• Able to take in more calories early before you are too tired to digest and absorb them
• Spare your glycogen early on, and avoid hitting the wall later
