Описание к видео Stone Canyon Cabin and Mines - Underground Explore, Jack Gunn Spring, Ore Car, Tram, Great Hike ⛏️🔦

We start this explore by driving to the wilderness boundary not far past the Minnietta Mine. It's there that we find a round mill with a four cylinder engine that was used to operate it. It's also there that we start our hike up to Stone Canyon, and the mines and cabin therein. We follow a burro trail until we find an old miner's trail which takes us up to the freight road that dates back to 1875 and ran between Lookout City and Darwin. The road has a beautiful rock wall that was built by Chinese laborers in 1875. The canyon is also called Jack Gunn Canyon, named after the man who bought the Minnietta Mine in 1888. There is also a spring up canyon that is named after Jack Gunn. We found a few small mines in the canyon and we came to a nice little cabin perched on a flat spot several feet above the wash. After checking out the cabin and noticing there was a lower tram terminal nearby, we followed the tram cables up the mountain to the mine. Along the way we found a wheelbarrow and an ore car. We explored the interesting underground mine workings and afterwards made our way back down to the cabin. We hope you enjoy the video and thanks for watching.
