Sasaram, Bihar, D-3 I Maa Tarachandi Dham I Pilot Baba Ashram I Sher Shah Suri Tomb I

Hello and welcome to my channel Doctraveller MN.
This is the third episode of the Sasaram series, day 2 exploration of places near Sasaram

On day 1 we visited
1. Maa Mundeshwari Temple- the oldest functioning (where prayers are still offered) in Bihar and Northern India. Maa Mundeshwari is a form of Maa Durga, and you will see Chatur-mukha (four-faced) shiv Linga. It is a one-of-a-kind Hindu temple and is a must-visit site.
2 Karkatgarh waterfall- This waterfall lies within Kaimur wildlife sanctuary and is a fall on river kamanasa at the border of UP and Bihar. A majestic waterfall also functions as crocodile breeding centre.
3. Karamchat Dam - a beautiful dam within the hills of Kaimur where rainwater is collected to be canalized for agricultural purposes of nearby villages.

On Day 2 we visited
1. Rohtasgarh fort- One of the largest, most ancient, magnificent fort structures in India which lies in dilapidated condition now.
Rohtas which considers its name from Rohitasva - son of legendary king Harishchandra has this marvellous fort on the hilltop where villagers reside and do agricultural work. they consider themselves as descendants of Rohitasva.
This is an iconic structure, and you must visit this place when you visit Sasaram
2. Our second spot of the day was Ma Tutla Bhawani Dham and waterfall- This valley lies in between two mountain ranges, and the waterfall falls down a gorge between them. This is the most picturesque place in Rohtas. Ma Tutla Mandir was established in 12th century
3. Last spot of the day was Indrapuri Barrage - the fourth longest barrage on river Son.

On day 3 we visited
1. Ma Tarachandi Dham - One of the 51 shaktipeeths , here Maa Sati's right eye is believed to have fallen.
2. Pilot Baba Ashram
3. Sher Shah Suri Tomb- Located right in the centre of the city

Later half of the day we returned to Patna city
