Things are changing rapidly at the weekend homestead! The weather is warming and the rain has started turn turn the woods green. It's time to start looking for wild spring edibles. Ramps, asparagus, nettles and mushrooms are some of the first delicious wild bounty of the season and in this video I take you with as I hunt for wild mushrooms. Black morels, yellow morels, and pheasant back AKA Dryads saddle are in the basket and on the menu. There are lots of fancy recipes for wild morel mushrooms but it's hard to beat simple sauteing in oil or butter.
