Описание к видео Chemical Process Design - lecture 1, part 2 [by Dr Bart Hallmark, University of Cambridge]

Lecture 1, part 2, examines the piping and instrumentation diagram (P&ID) and it's role in communicating a process design.

This is the first lecture in a 12 lecture series on an introduction to chemical process design authored by Dr Bart Hallmark from the University of Cambridge. The course covers the following topics:

(i) documenting and communicating the design (PFDs, P&IDs, data sheets);

(ii) reactor design (multiphase reactors, mass transfer & kinetic limits, thermal effects, reactor modelling and reactor mechanical design);

(iii) separation processes (distillaton column optimisation, other separation processes);

(iv) conveying materials (pumps, pipes, conveyors);

(v) controlling process flow in liquids and solids;

(vi) pressure relief and safety systems;

(vii) plant layout;

(viii) utilities and electrical power.
