Fulltime Vanlife - from Ebenezer to Wylde MTB | Bungonia Slot Track | Gunning

Waking up next to the Hawkesbury River at Swallow Rock Reach Camp Ground in Ebenezer - What a beautiful misty morning! Since I was right next door, I figured I should have a quick visit to the oldest church in Australia, Ebenezer Church, before heading across the western Sydney Metro area to Wylde MTB Park in Cecil Park.

I'm on a quest to hit the streets of Melbourne, despite it being the middle of winter, so it's on to the Hume Highway, south bound. After being rocked to sleep by the roaring of semi trailer tyres on the highway at Kingsbury VC Rest Area, I made my way over to Bungonia.

My aim for the day was to walk the Bungonia Slot Track which runs through Bungonia Slot Canyon. Little did I know that this canyon is 500m deep. This was by far the craziest and most dangerous walk I have done so far! Doing the walk anti-clockwise, the tracks down is steep and very loose. The walk through the canyon is a climbing expedition over 6m high limestone boulders and the walk back to the top involves multiple small rock climbs. Super tough - Very unique!
