Sluggish Dampers

Описание к видео Sluggish Dampers

This repair is a pretty common one. It used to be a big mystery.

Sometimes sluggish dampers are caused by flanch pitting issues. Sometimes it's the damper wire that is stuck in the guide rail.

The first thing I did was to determine that it's not the flange, but that it is the wire that is being held too tight by the guide rail.

The only tool you need is a lighter.

You can heat up the dampers while wiggling the dampers up and down.

Make sure you don't open it up so much that there is a lot of movement in the guide rail.
