🔑 5 Key Takeaways From This Episode
✅ Surprising Impact of Rider Pain: Discover how something as “distant” as shoulder, hip, or knee pain in the rider can literally change your horse’s way of moving
✅ Simple Self-Assessment Techniques: Try out hands-on interactive exercises right alongside Catherine Wycoff to notice your own asymmetries—plus what they may mean for your horse
✅ Why Every Ride Is Different: Learn why neither you nor your horse will ever move exactly the same way twice—and why that’s a GOOD thing
✅ Emotional Effects on the Saddle: Find out how emotions like fear or grief sneak into your riding and change the feedback your horse gets
✅ Small Fixes, Big Results: See how easy adjustments in your awareness or routine (like a longer walk for warm-up) can transform both you and your horse’s experience
🧠 Fun Fact
In her demonstration, Catherine Wycoff introduces us to “Noodle”—no, not a real horse, but her homemade mechanical model (complete with a Folgers Coffee pelvis!) that makes equine biomechanics a lot less intimidating and a lot more fun (05:34). You have to see it to believe it!
