Katie Neeves' speech on trans rights at Leicester Pride 2024

This is the speech I delivered on the main stage at Leicester Pride 2024.

I started by giving a very brief overview to my own story, before talking about some of the struggles that trans people have in the UK today. I focussed mainly on the huge trans hate crime increase and on the current puberty blocker ban which is doing so much harm to trans children.

N.B. I would like to correct a small mistake I made in my speech when I was talking about the origins on the gender critical movement. I mistakenly said that it was funded from far right and religious fundamentalist groups from the "UK and Russia", but I meant to say the "US and Russia".
