5 Tips How To Corner Your Bike Through Flat Turns: The Ride Series MTB Skills Clinic Rich Drew

Описание к видео 5 Tips How To Corner Your Bike Through Flat Turns: The Ride Series MTB Skills Clinic Rich Drew

Turning your bike is one of the most basic elements of trail riding. It's also one of the most nuanced. It's time for me to break down the conundrum that is turning and I'll use The Ride Series Ground School approach to do it.

Please consider supporting the Patreon platform. I REALLY dig making this content and the more support we can get, the more rad stuff we can do! Be sure to check out the "FULL SEND" level where you can submit a video for me to analyze and breakdown:   / therichdrew

Well, what the heck do I do? It's really not that bad. Take the time to absorb what I'm saying and then put it into practice.

Here are a few facts to think about:
The turning knobs are on the side of the tire. The bike needs be leaned over enough for them to do their job
The front wheel is the wheel of influence. If you don't have enough weight on it, it can't do it's job.
That being said, how do you go about implementing what I talked about in the video?
1) Eyes Up - See the trail, and the turn, coming. The further you look ahead, the slower it comes at you.
2) Enter as far to the outside as you can. If it's a right hand turn, come in as far left as possible.
3) Inside pedal up.
4) Hips over the bottom bracket. Keep you center of gravity as low and as centered as you possibly can.
5) LEAN WIT IT! Get that bike leaned over and let dem side knobs EAT!!

That's basically it. There's some nuance of course, and you'll need to work through that. Have fun with it!! Peace out Dumpers!!
