Buses Trains Metro & Ferry in Tyne & Wear July 2018

A visit to the North East to see the public transport Scene around the Tyne & Wear Metropolitan area with the main focus being on Newcastle Upon Tyne.

The journey begins at Newcastle Central Station over a 5 day visit and takes in the Quayside and the City Centre at Haymarket and Eldon Square Bus Station. The following day come more clips at Newcastle before taking an Angel 21 Go Ahead service to Gateshead Interchange for a spot of filming before heading on to another Angel 21 service as far as Angel of The North. There are more scenes taken at the City Centre close to the University before heading off on the Tyne & Wear Metro for some filming at Pelaw before catching the Metro as far as Sunderland. After a ride across the oldest Road / Rail bridge onboard a Pacer Class 142022 more filming is done at Newcastle Railway Station.

The next scenes come from Durham to the South, filming takes place at the Railway Station, Cathedral and the City centre and bus station before heading back up to the railway station for a journey onboard a Class 91. More filming ends the day at Newcastle City Centre.

The fourth day begins at Newcastle before taking a ride on the Metro to Tynemouth for some video and then a Coaster service to Whitley Bay. The general bus scene is observed at Whitley bay before jumping on an ex London DLA DAF DB250 ALX400 W403VGJ now with Arriva North East. The day continues with a rise on the Metro to North Shields before taking the Ferry ‘Pride of The Tyne’ over to South Shields to catch the Metro back to Newcastle with more front view recordings of the line from a driver’s eye view.

The final day concludes at Newcastle and Gateshead with buses on the Tyne Bridge, Newcastle City centre and bus stations before taking a Red Arrow service across to Gateshead. More filming is taken at Gateshead interchange before heading back to Newcastle City centre and the Quayside.
