STRENGTHTAPE® Kinesiology Tape can assist to relieve the associated pain and speed recovery. Medial shin splints, also known as medial tibial stress syndrome, is common among athletes and anyone rapidly increasing their activity level. The pain can be caused by new or worn out footwear, over-training, poor foot biomechanics, running surfaces that are banked or hard, changing training surface (such as from grass to asphalt), and in general too much activity too soon. Rest is key to recovery and will help to prevent the much more serious condition of a stress fracture. Obtaining appropriate footwear, thorough stretching routines, scaling back on training intensity, and light massage can all help recovery. Please remember to visit a healthcare professional for evaluation. STRENGTHTAPE® will stick for up to 7 days.
