Assetto Corsa: 1906 Renault AK at Battenberg Dirt

Brothers Luis, Marcel, and Fernand Renault built their first car in 1898, and by 1903 began motor racing, which was the preferred method of publicity at the time. After winning the first city to city race in Switzerland, the brothers entered the Paris to Madrid race. It was a disaster, with dozens killed, including Marcel. Luis never raced again, and soon after, Fernand took ill. By 1909 Luis was the only surviving brother, and ran the company until his death in 1944.

Ferenc Szisz had joined the Renault factory in 1900, and was Luis Renault's riding mechanic until Marcel's death. Ferenc took over as lead driver, and in his short career became the winner of the first French Grand Prix in 1906 with the AK.
